The Activity of the Portal

	Bangladesh Garments Workers Information Network (http://www.bgw-info.net) is a dedicated portal to the workers of RMG sector of Bangladesh.

	The goal of this portal is to link the struggle of RMG workers of Bangladesh for securing their livelihood with the global movement.

	The portal also hopes to play a positive role in building partnerships among Bangladeshi RMG workers and world civil society organizations, INGOs/NGOs,activist organizations, activists and trade unions from different parts of the world by creating an interactive platform that provides access to knowledge.

	The portal has capacity and razor edge potentiality to work as a tool to work as an advocacy tool for RMG workers of Bangladesh to ensure their rights.

Briefly, the activities of this portal can be best described as:

	Compiling of Information/Data

	Disseminating of Information/data

	Archiving the Information/Database

	Creating Public Opinion Locally and Globally

	Ensuring Virtual Space for Interaction among the RMG workers of Bangladesh and likeminded individuals and Organizations from allover the world.

	Working as Advocacy tools to ensure Rights of RMG workers of Bangladesh.
